This is my CG gallery. Most of these pics were coloured using Photoshop 5.5 or Painter 6. To see a preview and a description, place your mouse over the green buttons. To see the full sized image, click on the button. Enjoy. (^___^)
elfcg.jpg
This was originally drawn when I was about 15 years old (and really into Clamp), it was
done using pencil crayons it wasn't unitl 3 or 4 years later that I found it again and
decided to mess about with it using the computer. All I did was manipulate the shade and
blurred out some bits etc. the original picture is still pretty much there. ^^
felfcg3.jpg
As you can see it didn't turn out too well, especially the shading on the skin, but I was very proud of the flaming hair at the time... (^___^)
Looking at it now, I can say that the flame on the finger is too solid, and her cheek sticks out too much ^^;;
felfcg2.jpg
This is the line art for my first proper cg, not counting the elf one before. I decided that with this one, I wanted a realistic flame effect for the hair, her clothes and on the tip of her finger.
See the next pic to find out how it turned out.
janetcg2.jpg
This is a nicer version with a calmer background ^^... I prefer this one so much, especially now that you can see all the wispy ends of the hair ^^.
janetcg.jpg
This was originally drawn from a picture of Janet Jackson, and has ended up not looking like her ^^; hehe, but I like it anyway, I loved the hair, especially when this was my 2nd ever attept at cg. I think the backgroound was a big big mistake... I couldn't think of anything for a background and wanted something interesting. Thus, you have that mess behind her.
Thursdaycg.jpg
This is quite lovely too ^^. This was done as an experiment using Painter6 for the first time. So although it may look like a watercolour, it's really a cg. Amazing what ppl can do nowadays. I think this turned out quite well, but probably because I chose the right picture to do... ^^
stripes2.jpg
I love this one ^^. I did the original sketchy thing (with head too big)... but Paul Johnson did the cg for me and made her look loovely (^____^). Can you believe this man almost gave up drawing because he though he was too crap?? And what am I supposed to do? hmm? (T____T)
spikecg.jpg
Shock horror!! It's a man! or at least he's supposed to look like one. This was only a practise piece, hence the big word "practise" down the side. I like the hand, although the thing he's holding is a bit squiffy... eh, had no idea what to make him hold, so I just messed about.
hotcouture.jpg
This has to be one of my faveourites. Thank you Paul & Adi for coping with me whilst I did this. Anyway, can anyone guess where I stole this idea from? hmmm? I'm sorry mr Givenchy, I just *had* to draw it.
I'm quite pleased with the overall "look" of this pic, although the face is a bit spongly, just as well the rest of it is ok, really ^^. Hint: Perfume poster.
grass4.jpg
Completed version of my grass pic, for which I have Paul Johnson to thank. He did that lush green grass for me ^^... He's a brilliant artist, go visit his site when you're done with mine ^^;; (I'll make a links page one of these days)
Anyway, I'm really pleased with the way the hair turned out, epecially the wispy bits at the end of the pig tails ^^
grass3.jpg
Next step on from the grass pic, I'm quite pleased with how I drew the hand here, although I chickened out from attempting to actually draw the lower half of her body.
grass2.jpg
You'd never have guessed it, but this started off as a self portrait. ^^;;; Hehehe, I only *wish* I looked this good.
It's a fairly recent pic, but that means it's about a year old, I've not really been doing much drawing for a while now...
trianglecg.jpg
I did this as a poster for the Sheffield Anime Society so they could stick it up on fresher's week. (Ack, that must mean that it's almost 1 year old!) Anyway, I did this in quite a rush, so I'm quite pleased with the result considering I only spend a few hours on it. I particularly like the shading on the cape bit about her neck... and eh, ignore the spongly shading on her arm
This is a brand spanking new cg, first one in a year, and eh, can't say my CG-ing skills have improved. This is a poster for my brother's anime society at uni. It was done using old sketches, that you'll find in the pencil section. Unfortunately, I got bored with it for a while and it got rushed at the end, so it's not as good as it could be.
pinkoekaki.jpg
This was done on an oekaki board many many years ago... Oekaki boards are like messaged boards with a simple paint program, so that you can draw pics, and upload them. Ehh, the hair around the arm didn't turn out particularly well.
This was drawn on the Kapolo oekaki board. However, I now frequent meo's board which can be found here: oekaki.meo24.org
purplegloves.jpg
This is a brand new oekaki drawing well, sort of.... eh, past 6 months anyway... took about 2 hours, I think... I quite like the way the left
hand came out, unfortunately, the other hand is a tad dodgy... (It's meant to be zipping up her gloves, BTW)
sittingcg.jpg 22 March 2004
My word, it's been a long long time since I last did any artwork, but here it is. Done with a new method to whom, I credit Rich. Thanks for saving me a good 2 hours of work... all done in the click of a button. Anyway, taking an old sketch that I did absolutely ages ago just to have a go at the new method, and it's not looking too shabby.
